My shingles on my roof were defective and needed replacing. After looking into having my roof replaced your company had nothing but positive reviews. They were deserved. The roof was replaced when scheduled and at the price quoted (refreshing in this day and age). After the work was completed there was a slight problem, which was resolve immediately!

Hello Steven,
Wanted to drop you a note and thank you for such a good job on my re-roof project. I was impressed that your crew showed up right at 7am as promised, and were all very pleasant and professional. The job was finished in one day which was great! I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the crew went above and beyond by painting the pipes penetrating the roof, picking up any trace of garbage, and even went so far as to go around my house with a spray bottle and rag wiping off any dirty spots. Lastly I wanted to thank you for helping me convince Certainteed to pay me the full amount of the claim on my old shingles which resulted in about a thousand dollar increase over what they originally sent me a check for.

I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the entire process of re-roofing my house. When you and the crew arrived Monday morning it was like a small army descending from the hills. Men and equipment quickly deployed and got to work. Everyone had a job, knew their job, and went about it quickly and efficiently. I have extensive landscaping all around the house that I was concerned about. Your crew covered everything and moved items that could potentially be damaged to safe locations.
I have a large roof and it was completely removed and cleaned up the first day. I believe the crew could have finished installing the new roof on day two, however, some weather delays forced them into half of a third day. Speed is one thing, but combine that with quality workmanship and you have a real winner. The attention to detail was evident throughout the project. Quality materials, knowledgeable installation, converting the original venting to ridge vents, coloring the bath vent pipes (originally stock white) to match the shingles, and even one of the crew cleaning siding with a spray bottle and a rag are examples of that detail. Grounds clean up was equally impressive. Crew were continuously patrolling to pick up scrap and using magnets for errant metal. When everything was done, the roof looked great and the landscaping was untouched. It was hard to tell you had even been here (other than the great new roof).

From tear off to shingling to metal work and finishing it was done to the highest standard. Your crew did everything you said and more. Our home project involved 40 squares of roofing, air-sealing and re-insulating in both the attic and vaulted ceiling portions, and two bathroom exhaust fans. Steven was more than willing to meet with us twice during the bidding process and answer numerous e-mails as we narrowed our contractor choices down. We chose Blue Hills because they are an Owens Corning Certified Preferred Contractor and Energy Star Allied Partner, employ their own full-time employees with insurance coverage, and are trained in the aspects of their jobs, including safety. When compared to similarly experienced and qualified contractors, their price was also the best; furthermore, the price that was quoted was the price we paid when the job was done. Unknown from the start (and to our surprise after living in our house for 11 years) that half of our roof had the original roofing still installed consisting of multiple layers, even though it took at least an extra half-day to remove, they got the tear-off job done right without extra charge (including removing and replacing the gutters to a lower level because of the old thicker roof from all the layers). Their attention to detail, like the chimney and dormer flashing, makes us feel secure on days like today when it rained so heavily and the gutters overflowed and the streets flooded. The crew was professional and courteous, and respectful to my wife’s home day care business, making sure to use extra caution. They were patient enough and welcomed me on the roof at various times during the project for progress checks. Finally their clean-up after the job was thorough, making sure all scraps and nails were picked up before leaving. I would recommend Blue Hills to anyone seeking advice.
